For Home Owners: Are you in Renovation Hell?
HGTV's "The Fixer" is here to help! Only homeowners who have already experienced shoddy home repairs will be considered for this show and it is open to California residents.

After several weeks or even months of work did a contractor and his crew leave you with crooked kitchen cabinets, slanted counter tops, unfinished dry wall, or an unusable bathroom? Are you miserable because your home is in such disarray? If you live in Southern California and have been taken advantage of by a careless or corrupt contractor, HGTV wants to send you "THE FIXER". Let our expert licensed general contractor and his crew rescue you from your botched home renovation. "The Fixer" is looking for homeowners who live in the greater Los Angeles area, including Los Angeles, Ventura and Orange counties. Homeowners of all ethnicities with outgoing personalities should apply by sending a brief paragraph about their terrible renovation experience - don't spare any horrific details - along with photos of yourself and the contractor's dodgy work. Please note: We will not make over a house from scratch.

Seeking dynamic, outgoing, experienced chefs, men and women, any ethnicity and cooking specialty are encouraged to apply.
Are you the best chef in the house? Do you have what it takes to excel amongst your peers?
Food Network is currently casting for a new cooking competition series and is looking for professional chefs, who want to test their culinary skills against those of their peers. Four competitors will race against the clock; their food judged on taste, creativity, and presentation by the experts. Three are eliminated along the way, and only one remains the ultimate winner.
To Apply:
Go to Chef Casting and fill in the form. In addition to the standard name, address, and contact numbers, the application also asks for
*URL of your website or favorite restaurant:
*Describe your background/history-where are you from?:
*What inspired you to become a chef? Where did your interest in food begin?
*What do you consider the best aspect about cooking/being a chef?
*Describe your specialty dish or style of cooking:
*Describe your work style. How would your colleagues describe working with you?
*Describe your greatest accomplishment (culinary or otherwise):
*What is something that we wouldn’t know about you by looking at you?
*Why do you think you’d be good for this show?:
Then attach a current resume (list culinary training, experience, and special skills in a word document) plus a current picture. Additional photos are not required but you can submit them.
