Does your family enjoy those classic outdoor games like horseshoes, badminton, or lawn darts? Getting outside and playing games is a great summer pastime. Boochie is a game that is fun for the whole family.
Boochie is a mix between horseshoes and shot put. Boochie comes with its own vinyl travel bag, so you can take it to the park or the back yard. There is the Boochie ball, which is a 12-sided die, four different colored balls and rings, and a wristband trackers to keep score.
Each round of play begins with one player tossing the boochie ball. Then players take turn toss both their ring and ball, trying to get as close to the boochie ball as possible. Then it's time to score points. The person with the object closest to the boochie ball is awarded two points. The person next closest earns one point. Extra points are given out. Check the boochie ball to see what conditions must be met to receive extra points. Two point might be given to the person with the object furtherest away. Also, extra points can be earned by ringing another person's ball or the boochie ball.
Keep track of your points on your wristband tracker. Depending on how many points you have will determine how you must throw your items the next round. You may have to sit down or toss behind your back. The first person to score 11 points wins the game. There is one side of the boochie ball that states if someone rings the boochie ball this turn wins the game.
Boochie is a fun outdoor game. As players have different scores, it's comical to watch how others have to throw their objects. The only drawback is that only four people can play at once.
Although the recommended age is 8 and above for this game, younger kids could probably play this, too. With scoring options for each round, a game of Boochie will most likely last 15 minutes.
Boochie is a good activity for the whole family to enjoy in the back yard, at the beach, or at the park.
