Coconut Joe's second CD Middle of the Ocean " the New Tropical Pop from the Islands" had my 17 year old daughter bopping around doin' her "thang" as she calls it and asking me for the CD! This is a mix of several nuances and styles of music with the talented Bob Rogers writing all the songs and a team of talented musicians and guests to make it Coconut Joe's tropical favorite in our house!

Songs included on this CD are Sweet Angelina, , All About Love, Sands of Silver and Gold, Island Rendezvous, Light of the Moon, Haupia, Middle of the Ocean, Hey, and Evolution of Joe which ends it with an acoustic jam. The lyrics often include topics such as growing up and living in the beautiful islands, stories of life, ohana (family), love and environmental concerns.

It's "Island Adult Contemporary, Tropical Pop" music but you can pick up various unique styles within it all with Hawaiian flair and sweet harmonies. A very good selection of great music and moving rhythms. Some of the names involved are Bob Rogers, Frank Kam, Barbara Ann Rogers, Peter Agustin, Herman Regal, Robert Blok, Gabe Baltazar, Brien Matson, Rick Broadwell, and Noel Okimoto. A fresh and upbeat music that will have you doin' your "thang" too!
