The MicroplaneŽ 34001 Grate-n-Shake - A wonderful fine grater for nutmeg, cinnamon, nuts and spices! I used it with cinnamon. The razor sharp blade is the result of the patented MicroplaneŽ etching process, and is made of luminous 18/8 stainless steel. This product features two storage compartments. One which holds the whole spices and the other which catches the grated spices, nuts, etc . . . and which you can turn over and sprinkle the spices straight out of. They both snap together to form one convenient container. It was basically designed for nutmeg, to grate and shake it onto eggnog and other things but it works great on other spices as well.

Left or right handed people can use this as the hand crank can be switched and is easily removed for quick and easy clean-up. This comes with two drums, one course and the other fine for grating many different kinds of foods. I love freshly grated parmesan cheese and this product makes it easy to do even during meals. It's also dishwasher safe which is a plus. Very simple to use and the razor sharp blades produce great results!
