Every Day's a Holiday Diabetic Cookbook by Mr. Food (Art Ginsburg) and the American Diabetes Association is a wonderful resource for people with diabetes or anyone who wants to improve their eating habits! It is divided into several sections with a foreword by Nicole Johnson and preface by Mr. Food.
The introduction itself is divided into some very useful sections: Frequently Asked Questions, which relates to diabetes questions and answers, Serving Tips, Planning a Perfect Buffet, Dressing for Dinner, Understanding Food Terms and Pachage Labels, Portion pointers, Substitution Savvy, Sugar and Artificial Sweeteners, Sodium Smarts and General Recipe Notes. All these sections were great and I really enjoyed the section on Dressing for Dinner which addressed making meals and environment special with little techinique suggestions. Recipe sections in this cookbook are: "Appetizers", "Soups, Salads, and Breads", "Poultry", "Meats", "Seafood", "Meatless Main Dishes", "Side Dishes", "Desserts" and a recipe index. The recipes all include Exchange and nutrition information and the pages feature many tips and comments throughout.
Some of the delicious, healthy and nutritious recipes you will find here are Festive Crab Spread, Octoberfest Cabbage, Thai Beef Satay, Garden Veggie Muffins, Chocoholic's Sherbet and many more mouth-watering dishes!
