Narnia - Gifts from Father Christmas

Narnia - Gifts from Father Christmas
Father Christmas gives special gifts to Peter Pevensie in C. S. Lewis’s book, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. The gifts are to prepare Peter for his future in Narnia. Father Christmas tells Peter, “they are tools, not toys.”

Peter Pevensie receives a sword and shield from the good man. The sword is heavy and very sharp. The shield protects Peter from attack.

Peter uses the gifts for battle in the books, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Prince Caspian and the Last Battle. The High King of Narnia uses the gifts to keep his kingdom safe.
