This cookbook by the Simple Life Corporation's Patricia Tokar is a laminated soft cover/spiral bound book and different in that this very creative and resourceful cook shares with us how to work with things we already have in the kitchen, utilizing left-overs, extra supplies and other creative ideas.
Patricia takes you down memory lane recalling the "bit of this and bit of that" cooking that her grandmother was very good at. If you are conservative and resourceful or want to be you will love this cookbook! The ideas offered are great! For instance a recipe for seasoned potato skins for when you are fixing potatoes. These are wonderful and served with sour cream.... you might just forget the potatoes!
Leftover chicken? or extra ground beef? There are recipes for just about anything you need to "use up". Thanksgivings over and you have a lot of turkey left.. the answer? Perhaps Turkey Cheddar Casserole or Turkey and Stuffing Pie. Try Ham and Potato Cakes, Butterscotch Sweet Rolls, Graham Cracker Streusel Cake or Mini Pizza Tarts and many others available here.
What I particularly love about this cookbook is that besides the traditional index Patricia lists and index of recipes according to ingredients for quick reference if you have an ingredient or leftover you want to use. Besides recipes you will find many tips and resourceful ideas a favorite recipes page to write on plus more guides and information.
Check out the site and see for yourself this great idea for a cookbook! They also have a special offer of a measuring spoon set and spatulas free while supplies last when you order the cookbook
