Summertime Strawberry Lemonade Frosty

Guest Author - Deborah Adams

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup boiling water
1 tablespoon freshly grated lemon zest *
1 1/2 cups (about 6-10 lemons) freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 10-oz package frozen strawberries w/sugar
Dissolve the sugar (1 1/2 cups if using strawberries without sugar) in the boiling water. Add lemon zest and lemon juice and stir well. Stir in 32 ounces of ice-cold water blended with 24 ounces crushed ice.

Put the strawberries into your food processor and blend well. Pour into lemonade and stir. Keep on ice for a wonderful frosty treat!
* Lemon Zest: Lightly grate just the yellow from the lemon making sure you don't go down too far. You do not want to grate the white beneath the yellow.
