Beef Kabobs

I don't know about you but kabobs are popular at our cookouts. I've replaced an older article that needed credit updating until I hear back from the person I talked to with these tasty recipes for you to try. My apologies but emails were not going through. I hope to hear from you soon. In the meantime please enjoy these delicious recipes for beef kabobs and if you have an recipes you'd like to share with the readers please feel free to let me know as always. We enjoy hearing from all of you and trying new recipes :) Happy Cooking!

Savory Beef Kabobs

1 c. water
1/2 c. soy sauce
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. lemon juice
1 sm. onion, minced
1 garlic clove, minced
1 beef bouillon cube, crushed
3 lbs. beef roast, cubed
cherry tomatoes
green peppers, cubed
button mushrooms
pearl onions peeled
pineapple chunks

Combine first 7 ingredients in large bowl with lid.
Add meat and marinate in refrigerator for a day.
Stir occasionally. Alternate beef and vegetables and pineapple on skewers.
Grill over medium hot coals or broil in oven for about 15 minutes, turning frequently and basting with marinade.

Broccoli Beef Kabobs

round steak
boiler onions
bell peppers
broccoli
1 c. soy sauce
1/2 c. + 2 tbsp. rice wine
5 tbsp. sugar
5 tbsp. cornstarch

Combine marinate ingredients. Slice round steak into thin strips across grain of meat. Place in marinade and refrigerate a few hours
Peel boiler size onions (approx 1 1/2 inches.. and cut bell pepper into chunks. Cut broccoli florettes off main broccoli. Spear them onto skewers alternating with onions, peppers and with thin strips of marinated beef..Boil marinade a minute or two. While cooking over grill.. brush broccoli, onions and peppers with boiled marinade.
Seve with steamed or fried rice

Barbecue Kabobs

1 1/2 lbs. steaks (cut into 1/2 inch strips)
1 c. beer
3/4 c. steak sauce
2 cloves garlic (crushed)
2 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. ground cumin
3 sm. red or green peppers, cut into 1 inch pieces
1 tsp. cornstarch

1. Blend beer, steak sauce, garlic, chili powder and cumin in non metal dish. Pour the marinade over sliced steak. Cover and chill about 2 hours stirring occasionally. 2. Remove steak from marinade, but do not discard marinade. Thread steak and pepper pieces on 6 skewers. Heat remaining marinade and cornstarch. Bring to a boil. 3. Grill or broil kabobs 4 inches from heat for 15 minutes or until done, turning and brushing with marinade often. Makes 6 kabobs.
