Learn What the Bible is All About
If you are interested in discovering what the Bible is all about, Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) is a safe and non-threatening environment to learn. BSF International is an interdenominational, not-for-profit, lay Christian organization dedicated to Bible study. The BSF class runs from September through May with daily study, questions and weekly class meetings.
There is a special bond that develops with classmates who are there with a common purpose. The study is geared for learning whether you have been a Bible reader for years or will be purchasing your first Bible for this class.
Each year BSF ends their teaching year with a day dedicated to giving praise back to God for all the insight and comfort He has given. That day is called Sharing Day. Each year on a day in May, thousands of women in cities all over the world take time to praise God for what He has been doing in each one’s life as a result of their participation in BSF.
As this year’s Sharing Day marks my completion of the seven year BSF curriculum I want to reflect on a few of the blessings I’ve received.
I began the study with what I considered to be a fair understanding of the Bible but I soon realized that there is much more to it than simply words on the page. I began to see the thread of God’s plan that runs from Genesis through Revelation. As I studied and answered each day’s designated questions I could see that in every book of the Bible, God is consistent and does not change. He is awesome, almighty, fearsome, forgiving and loving.
BSF has impressed upon me the importance of beginning each day with reading God’s word. Each year, as my understanding of His word has grown, my walk with Him has grown closer.
Each week’s study offers members of the class principals that are Bible truths. Two that are impressed upon my heart for life are:
God is alive and eternal and His word is alive and eternal.
And
The safest place to be is in the center of God’s will.
