Savory Sloppy Joes

• 1 lb. ground beef
• 1 cup barbecue sauce
• 1/4 cup chopped green pepper
• 1/4 cup chopped onion
• 8 hamburger buns, split
• 8 slices pasteurized process cheese

Preparation -
Brown the ground beef; drain. Add the barbecue sauce, green pepper and onion. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Lay the bottom halves of the buns on a cookie sheet. Spoon the ground beef mixture on top, then a slice of cheese. Broil until the cheese melts. Add the top half of the buns, then serve. Makes 8 Sloppy Joe sandwiches.
