Christmas Advent Activity
Start a new special Christmas Advent tradition - buy 24 Christmas books- large, small, fat, thin, a variety of reading and interest levels is also good for this activity.
Wrap them up in a variety of different wrapping papers. Tie them with pretty bows, make them special. Set them in a basket and let your child open one each night for a special story-time.
Let your child open one book a night then read it together. Decide what time and what other rituals you will plan for this activity. For instance, does the child need to be in their pj's? Do you want this to be the very last activity before lights go out?
Think it through, because I can assure you they will want to repeat this activity next year. (watch for Christmas books to go on sale after Christmas and get stocked up for next year)
Enjoy the family time, or special time with that one child. These are some of the books that have been in our baskets through the years.
