It is coming on September 26-28 and will be at Gleneagle Scotland./ I enjoyed the article in Golf Magazine by Cameron Martin with his eighteen reasons why America will win this event. He titles this article by” 18 Reasons Why We’ll Take Back the Cup” in the Golf Magazine. I found it quite interesting and agreed with his #1 reason was having Tom Watson as Captain of the team. The authors reason being that Tom knows how to win in Scotland. The people of Scotland really love Tom and consider him one of their own so how could they not cheer for Tom.

The number 2 reason is Gleneagle golf course since it was designed by Jack Nicklaus and resembles courses in America. Cameron goes all the way through 18 with his many reasons America will take back the cup. They were funny and named American golfers like Ricky Fowler and Bubba Watson as a few of the greats who can carry this out. He calls them the young guns and will come out shooting it up.

Cameron goes on to list numbers 8 and 9 as Luck and Length. Under luck it was brought up that on the plane over to play in 1993 Cup which he also captained he talked about having luck and he wanted it to keep going which it did that time. Tom believes in his luck and expects it to continue. Under length he talks about the long hitters on the American team. He notes that this will be an advantage at this Gleneagle golf course.

Under numbers 17 and 18 the author predicts the winners with Keegan Bradley and Phil Mickelson as they were a dynamite pair considering their previous wins as a May-December Ryder bromance. The author had unusual ways of expressing his remarks and being so sure that America would win the cup back. Under number 18 the author says American team is just better and quotes Ian Woosnam saying that the European captain is going to have his hands full.

The author believes America will have one of their strongest teams and one of the youngest. He says they are not afraid and have a strong desire to win. The article was countered by Tony Jacklin saying that America will lose again for the eighth time in ten cups. Tony list why he things they will win with the likes of Rory McIlroy, Martin Kraymer, Justin Rose and Graeme McDowell who have shown to be winners.

This article was great with the hype for the coming Ryder Cup in September so we all will be looking forward to the final picks on the teams. It is always fun to watch as they pull for each other and all have the desire to win for their country.
