One Thread Edging No. 2 Pg. 1 New model tatted by Jennifer Bunde.
It is important to note in this edging which is constructed only from rings the order in which the rings are tatted, and the direction that they will face which done. To create the all front side / back side look, consider tatting rings A, D and G in reverse double stitch order. Also note that there is no bare thread space (bts) between ring pairs, B&C and E&F. In subsequent repeats ring B joins back to the previous repeat at ring F.
Using one shuttle only begin at Ring A.
A. R 3 - 3 - (long picot used for 2 more joins) 6 clr
Leave 1/8" or .5 cm bts
B. R 6 - 6 clr leave no space
C. R 6 - 6
Leave 1/8" or .5 cm bts
D. R 6 + (join to second picot of ring A) 6 clr
Leave 1/8" or .5 cm bts
E. R 6 - 6 clr
Leave no space
F. R 6 - 6 clr
Leave 1/8" or .5 cm bts
G. R 6 + (join to same picot ring A) 3 - 3 clr
Leave 1/2" or 1.5 cm bts between repeats.

The joining of rings A, D, and G create the shape of the design and the two sets of two rings without bare thread space between them creates the look of corners.
