Star Wars - Episode III - Revenge Of The Sith

The Jedi duo of Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi are closer than others in the Jedi order. But things begin to go awry when Obi-Wan must track down General Grievous while Anakin, who has secretly wed Padme and fears for her life and the life of their unborn child, gradually falls prey to the spiel of Supreme Chancellor Palpatine who happens to be the Sith Lord that the Jedi is searching for. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching “Star Wars – Episode III – Revenge Of The Sith”.

∙ At the beginning of the movie, Obi-Wan and Anakin are on a mission to rescue Palpatine who has been kidnapped and being held captive by Count Dooku and General Grievous. A battle between the Jedi and Dooku ensues. At one point during the battle, Obi-Wan is thrown through the air and Dooku sends an overhead walkway/landing crashing down on him. When the walkway/landing falls, a dark grey object lands on the ground to Obi-Wan’s right. Later in the scene, when Anakin walks over to free him, the object is no longer there.

∙ When Anakin battled Dooku in “Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones”, Dooku severed Anakin’s arm halfway between his elbow and shoulder. But when we see the arm again, when he sits up in bed after having a nightmare, the mechanical portion of his arm starts below his elbow.

∙ Mace Windu and Palpatine are in the midst of a lightsaber duel. Mace, it appears, finally gets the upper hand, sending Palpatine scrambling back to the corner behind him. Mace is shown walking towards Palpatine and is close enough to have his lightsaber ready to finish Palpatine off. But when Anakin runs in, from his viewpoint, Mace is walking towards Palpatine again.

∙ Padme flies to Mustafar to see Anakin and Obi-Wan sneaks aboard the aircraft. Later, when Anakin first sees him, Obi-Wan walks down the ramp and takes his cloak off. When Obi-Wan originally drops the cloak, it lands on the ground, at the end/in front of the ramp. But in the next closer view, Obi-Wan’s cloak is now to his left, on the ground next to the ramp.

∙ CAUTION: May Contain Spoilers! Near the end of the movie, Obi-Wan brings a newborn Luke to Tatooine. The baby is safely covered by Obi-Wan’s cloak. In the far, overhead view, Obi-Wan walks towards Beru and takes away his cloak to reveal the baby. In the next close-up he repeats the same actions.

“Star Wars – Episode III – Revenge Of The Sith” stars Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman, Hayden Christensen, Ian McDiarmid, Samuel L. Jackson, Jimmy Smits, Frank Oz, Anthony Daniels and Christopher Lee. It runs 140 minutes and is rated PG-13 for sci-fi violence and some intense images.
