Tasha Cobbs Buries Father
Bishop Fritz and First Lady Bertha Cobbs
Georgia’s own Tasha Cobbs walked away with her first Stellar Award as “New Artist of The Year” during the ceremony recently and less than 48 hours later she received word of her father’s tragic death.
Funeral services were held for Bishop Fritz Cobbs on Friday January 24th, 2014 at Unity Church of God in Christ in the Cobbs hometown of Jesup, GA. Bishop Cobbs is the pastor of Jesup New Life Ministries Inc., in Jesup GA.
Bishop Cobbs was in attendance at the event and witnessed his daughter’s shining moment and passed away the next day on the 19th. The cause of his death has not been released to the public.
Tasha Cobbs confirmed her father’s passing on social media and thanked everyone for their expressions of condolences.
Cobbs whose hit song “Break Every Chain” has touched the nation and is at the top of the charts has had an astronomical year.
She released her chart topping album "Grace" in February 2013 to commerical and critical success. The debut album was produced by Vashawn Mitchell a gospel artist in his own right.
She has graced the stage of several shows including The Bobby Jones Show and Sunday's Best on BET.
Along with her Stellar Award wins she also came up a big winner at the Dove Awards.
Yes Cobbs has exprienced the greatest highs and now a low blow that I am sure has shaken her and her family to the core. Prayers are requested for the entire family.
Please continue to keep the Cobb Family in your prayers.
