Land Of The Lost
Ridiculed paleontologist Dr. Rick Marshall loses all credibility with his theories of time travel. But when he embarks on an adventure with admirer Holly Cantrell and tour guide Will Stanton, the trio find themselves swept to a time of danger, grumpy dinosaurs and Sleestaks. While making a new ally in the form of a furry, strange creature named Chaka, the three try to find a way back to their world. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching “Land of the Lost”.
• When Holly, Rick and Will first meet Enik in the pylon, Enik is laying on his right side on the floor. Both of his hands/claws are on the floor. In the front view of him, when he says “Do not fear me”, he raises his left hand. But when it cuts to the rear view of him on the floor (front view of the others), both hands/claws are still on the floor as he starts to stand up.
• After getting bit by the insect the night before, Rick wakes up and puts on his tan colored shirts and buttons it up. This is the only shirt he puts on before they leave to go to the pterodactyl’s nest. Once they arrive, he realizes he has to cross the pit. He unbuttons his shirt and there is now a tank top/undershirt beneath.
• CAUTION: May Contain Spoilers! When Rick and Will are trying to rescue Holly, Rick grabs onto the cage that’s above the pit. Will hits one of the Sleestak but another one hits him from behind and knocks him to the ground at the edge of the pit. Rick then grabs one of them and as the Sleestak falls into the pit. The view shows there is only one Sleestak still there and he’s standing to Will’s left. But when it cuts to a view of Will knocking the Sleestak into the pit, there is now/still a second one standing next to him. Rick grabs the Sleestak and the overhead view shows the last one falling into the pit. But when the scene cuts back to Will, he’s still kicking the other one over the edge.
“Land of the Lost” (2009) stars Will Ferrell, Anna Friel, Danny McBride, Jorma Taccone, John Boylan and Matt Lauer. It runs 102 minutes and is rated PG-13 for crude and sexual content and for language including a drug reference.
