Keeping up with the Kardashians first premiered in August 2007 on the E network. The show has been nothing short of a bombshell. Viewers were intrigued with the family's wealth and fame, and the beauty of the daughters featured on it.
Although the show came into being because of a video tape, it has somehow still maintained its popularity to this day. The antics of the three oldest daughters, their romantic relationships, and celebrity friends make it one of the top shows to watch.
The show definitely has its critics. The show seems to glamorize being famous for no reason, and showcases fabulous wealth. The girls on the show fought back, always stating that they work hard for all they have and they have earned it. Kim, the second oldest daughter, has really seen her star rise. From photo shoots to dating rappers and football players, she has become a global phenomenon.
The sisters seemed to do no wrong until Kim's disastrous wedding to Kris Humphreys took place in August 2011. Kim was accused of staging a relationship after filing for divorce after 72 days. Critics also accused her of staging a wedding that earned her millions of dollars Loyal fans were outraged that she would do such a thing, and her public image took quite the beating.
Kim fought back by dating rapper Kanye West, and promptly became pregnant and gave birth to daughter named North West. In October 2013, they became engaged in San Francisco, with rumors of a wedding taking place in Versailles in 2014. Neither Kim nor Kanye has confirmed those rumors, but with Kanye's extravagant style, fans would not be surprised.
Kim is no longer the top star in the family, as her two younger half sisters, Kylie and Kendall are closing in on the gap. Both do some modeling, have a fashion line, and have millions of followers on instagram and twitter. Kendall in particular has established herself as a fashion model, appearing on the cover of Harper's Bazaar.
