Applique BOM's for 2014
The quilting world is abuzz with news of new genres of quilting. Modern Quilting is new (not quite sure what it means, and will explore that subject another day,) paper piecing is making a comeback, as is hand piecing in general. Appliqué is a genre that you either love or hate – can do or can’t do and are either drawn to appliqué patterns or not.
I tend to think that most people still like the look of a traditional appliquéd quilt. There’s something a little timeless about the beauty of putting subtle colours together in a pleasing way and enhancing these colours with beautiful floral patterns.
I’ve been surfing and have come up with some interesting appliqué block of the month programs that are currently running. I hope you find something here that piques your interest. Some of these Blocks of the Month are free, others not so. Have fun!
