Black Christmas (1974)

Black Christmas (1974)
College students living in a sorority house are getting ready for their Christmas break. Little do they know that a deranged stranger who’s been taunting them with phone calls is now in the house with murder on his mind. Will any of them survive the holidays as they one by one become his victims? Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching “Black Christmas”.

• When Claire goes to her room to pack, there is no wreath on her door when she opens and closes it. But when Jess goes to check on her a little later, there is a plastic wreath on the door when she knocks on it. It’s still there when her dad comes to check on her.

• Lieutenant Fuller is talking to Sergeant Nash about the number at the sorority house. The other detective in the room is sitting at his desk, laughing. When Fuller walks back to his desk, the other detective only has his left elbow on his desk but in the next farther view, his right arm is also on there.

• Barb has an asthma attack while she’s in her room and Jess runs to check on her. The left side view of Barb while she’s explaining her “dream” shows both of her hands are up on her red nightgown, on her chest. She’s holding her inhaler in her right hand and Jess is leaning over, rubbing Barb’s head. The scene cuts to a view from outside the door looking in and Barb’s hands are down, on top of the blanket and she’s not holding her inhaler. Also, Jess is sitting up, not leaning over or touching Barb at all. But when they hear the carolers singing outside, the left side view shows Barb’s right hand is across her chest and her left hand is holding Jess’ arm while she’s sitting over her.

“Black Christmas” (1974) stars Olivia Hussey, Margot Kidder, Keir Dullea, John Saxon, Marian Waldman, Michael Rapport and Robert Warner. It runs 98 minutes and is rated R for violence/gore, profanity, alcohol use/smoking and frightening/intense scenes.
