Aromatherapy Perfumes For Holiday Gifts
What could be better than a natural perfume as a holiday gift? If it's produced by the "right hands", this perfume can alter your mood, relax you and even provide you with energy. It might also make you feel glamorous, exotic and darn right sexy.
Getting Started
Just in case you want to be the person with the "right hands" here's what you will need to get started. For a spray mist affect, you can use Vodka (it's odorless) or filtered water but if it's for a roll on or body oil Jojoba oil would be my choice. You can also mix the Vodka and Jojoba oil. Jojoba oil has a long shelf life and once you put it on your skin, it will dry out leaving the oils wonderful scent behind.
Since Jojoba oil is expensive, I would suggest you experiment with almond or apricot oil which are less expensive, and once you're happy with your product you can then switch to Jojoba oil.
To get your aromatherapy mojo working here's what you'll need :< /b>
Measuring spoons
Small Funnel
Small colored bottle
Droppers
Here's how you will create your first batch of aromatherapy perfume:
Recipes: < /b>
Night Night
2 drops of Bergamot
3 drops of Chamomile
2 drops of Marjoram
4 drops of Lavender
Love to Love Ya
3 drops of Jasmine
3 drops of Neroli
4 drops of Orange
Although some people put the carrier oils into the bottle first, I like to blend the essential oils together first. This creates a synergy for the essential oil and it gives them time to marry in your bottle. Then I add the carrier oil/oils.
You will then add 1 teaspoon of carrier oil or vodka to your bottle. Cover it tightly, turn it upside down a few times and allow it to sit in a cool dark place for 12 days or more. But each day turn your bottle upside down a few times, at least three times a day.
After your 12 day period is up, you should be enjoying your beautiful creation.
