EAS AdvantEdge French Vanilla Shake
The EAS AdvantEdge French Vanilla Shake provides 17g protein, 2.5g net carbs, and 100 calories per container. Here's what it's like.
First, a bit of background. I have an EAS chocolate fudge shake every morning for breakfast, and have been doing so for years. I love the EAS shake as my way to start the day. So I'm very fond of the EAS shake system in general.
I do like vanilla as a flavor, and french vanilla ice cream, but I'm just not connecting with this French Vanilla shake. Maybe it's that I like the chocolate too much. Maybe it's something just not quite appealing to me about the flavor. In any case, while it's not "bad", out of the four flavors which I tested on subsequent days, French Vanilla was the one I drank the least of.
I'm sure there will be people out there who say this is their favorite flavor, and that's fine! We all have different taste buds.
This has:
2.5g fat
25mg cholesterol
340mg sodium
360mg potassium
less than 1g fiber
It also has 20% - 40% of many vitamins. I have my shake in the morning with full multivitamins, so I'm less worried about the vitamin list. Still, it's good to know it provides an extra boost.
I'll note that the EAS website for this shake says it has 320mg sodium and 370mg potassium. So the website and box aren't quite in sync.
Speaking of boxes, I wish there was a way to recycle this drink box. I realize that some municipalities allow you to recycle drink boxes, but they are few and far between. Mine doesn't. So despite my efforts to recycle and compost, I still end up with tons of these drink boxes in my trash stream.
Still, I do appreciate that we can keep these in our car, in our gym bags, and always have a back-up meal available. That helps ensure we don't go for fast food or other unhealthy options.
Well recommended.
I purchased this shake with my own funds in order to do this review.
