Dirty Pair
Dirty Pair (which is known as Dati Pea in Japan) is an anime based on a light novel series written by Haruka Takachiho and illustrated by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko.
The main characters of Dirty Pair are Kei and Yuri. They're both members of Trouble Consultant team 234, which has the code name "Lovely Angels." Kei is hot-headed, aggressive, and more of a tomboy. Yuri, on the other hand, is the more feminine of the pair, but can become rather violent if she's crossed.
Unfortunately, most of the missions they are assigned to end in disaster, but not in failure. This has gained them the nickname of "Dirty Pair," which they absolutely hate. Fortunately, the two are cleared of any wrongdoing due to the fact that the collateral damage is never actually their fault.
The original Dirty Pair is definitely a product of its time, and this is evident through both the animation and the music. Since I grew up watching some anime that originated from the 1980s, the feel of the original series doesn't bother me; however, it could potentially be a turnoff for younger viewers.
Personally, when I watched the first episode of the original Dirty Pair series, I found it to be rather amusing. It's definitely being done as a comedy, and the comedy is accessible to all anime viewers, whether they're long-time veterans or newer anime viewers. Even though the humor may be accessible to all audiences, the feel and atmosphere of this 1980s anime could still make the series inaccessible to younger viewers.
The design of the characters and their clothing make it clear that Dirty Pair isn't being aimed at a young audience. While there's no actual nudity in the series, there are some shots with some "fanservice" when it comes to Kei and Yuri.
Personally, I would recommend Dirty Pair to anime viewers who are 14 or 15 years of age and older.
