Three of our household’s favorites Discovery Channel and one of its sister channels TLC shows, MythBusters and Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe and American Chopper are starting their 2007 season this week.
MythBusters, on Discovery Channel
Pirate Special (2 hour season premier)
Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage, along with their assistants Kari, Grant and Tori look at pirate parables and maritime myths. This episode looks and sounds like the MythBusters will keep us stitches as they blow things up looking at pirates and their myths.
Underwater Car
Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman head pool side and inside with a underwater car to test the possibility of escape. Meanwhile: Grant, Tori and Kari try to fold a piece of paper the size of a football field more than seven times.
Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe, on Discovery Channel, (Fourth Season)
Poo Pot Maker
Mike goes to work at a farm where they make gardening pots from cow manure.
American Chopper, on TLC
Orange County Choppers start the new season in a larger new headquarters as Paul Teutul Sr. gives Paul Teutul Jr. a new challenge. Tempers will rise as jokes and disagreements rise, but as always the Teutuls all come together to turn out a great ride.
As you can see there is something for just about everybody airing in the next few weeks on Discovery Channel and TLC (The Learning Channel), just two of the many Specialty Channels out there with something for everybody. If, you haven’t gotten to catch all or any of these shows take a chance and tune in, you might just find a new favorite show.
