Tracy Morgan is Program Director for WBBP
1480 WBBP has named veteran announcer Tracy Morgan as it's new Program Director. Morgan comes with a wealth of experience including Program Director, Music Director and On Air Personality. She will continue to host "The Tracy Morgan Radio Show" airing weekday mornings on 1480 WBBP.
Morgan was recently inducted into the Broadcasters Hall of Fame and was the 2003 Stellar Award winner for Announcer of the Year. She also is very active in various community programs such as her show campaign to give needy children new shoes. She's been a consultant with the Spiritco1.com online radio network and has served on the Stellar Awards Gospel Music Academy Advisory Board. She resides in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. with her husband, Keith, and their daughter, Katrina.
WBBP is a 24-hour BDS charting station that started in 1989. In 1999, WBBP became an internet streaming radio station. The station expanded its audience reach and gained widespread recognition. From 2004 to 2006, WBBP was ranked by radio locator as the second most listened to internet radio station among 507 gospel stations surveyed. WBBP has received multiple Stellar Award nominations for Radio Station of the Year. The station became a Nielsen Broadcast Data System reporting entity for gospel music charts like Billboard, media guide and radio & records. WBBP is a member of the National Association of Broadcasters, the Tennessee Association of Broadcasters, the Better Business Bureau and the Memphis Regional Chamber.
