Scripture and Prayers for Comfort
It is difficult to believe that there is such a thing as pure evil. But, every so often, we turn on the news or we look out our window and are horrified beyond belief at the evil that is present in the world. Without warning, it rears its ugly head and leaves us feeling helpless against it. Sometimes it seems that Satan wins.
Jesus told His followers that there would be trouble in this world but to take heart because He has overcome the world. We are to find our peace in Him. (John 16:33) As believers, we hold on to that promise but it is not always easy.
