Dr. Seuss One Fish Two Fish Three Four Five Fish
Dr. Seuss One Fish, Two Fish, Three, Four, Five Fish board book is based on Dr. Seuss’ picture book, One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish(I Can Read It All by Myself). The Dr. Seuss interactive book has ten pages. It is for infants and toddlers. The board book is part of the Dr. Seuss Nursery Collection.
It is shorter than the Dr. Seuss One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish(I Can Read It All by Myself) picture book. Infants and toddlers have a short attention span, therefore One Fish, Two Fish, Three, Four, Five Fish is perfect for little ones. Babies and toddlers can use the board book to learn colors and count 1-5. Across the top of the book are fish in different bright colors. Children slide the fish from side to side as they count. The pictures are in basic colors. Use pictures and fish to teach kids colors.
The rhyming verse is silly and fun. This is just the thing to capture a child’s attention. The repetitive pattern makes the text easy to remember and repeat. Move your figure under each word as you read, so once they memorize the text they learn to recognize the words. Also, to help develop language skills teach them recognize the beginning and ending sounds of words.
A word of caution to parents and care givers. Dr. Seuss One Fish, Two Fish, Three, Four, Five Fish has movable parts. Do not leave a child three-years-old and younger alone with the book. Place the Dr. Seuss board book on a high shelf, so they have access only under adult supervision.
Dr. Seuss One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish(I Can Read It All by Myself) is included for those who prefer the original Dr. Seuss picture book.
Children need a regular routine. A set bedtime and place to sleep are part of the daily routine. Read a bedtime story as part of the nightly ritual. Read quiet, soothing books to children in their warm, comfortable bed. This allows a child to associate reading with comfort and security. The association will continue a lifetime.
