Before I link you up with the puzzle let me take you through a few interesting facts on the Taj Mahal. I had the good fortune to see the breath taking Taj Mahal on two occasions. A must see monument of India, the Taj Mahal is a treat to the eyes.

The Taj Mahal is located on the banks of the River Yamuna in Agra, North India. It was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan between 1631 and 1648. Constructed entirely of white marble, the Taj Mahal is a colossal mausoleum that was intended to house the earthly remains of Shah Jahan’s third wife, Mumtaz Mahal.

The Darwaza (gateway) that leads up to the Taj is a massive structure with Arabic verses from the Koran inscribed on its walls. On either site of the Taj Mahal are two identical red sandstone buildings, one of which is a masjid (mosque). The Taj Mahal has four minarets and is octagonal in shape. The main chamber inside contains fake tombs of the Emperor Shah Jahan and his Queen Mumtaz Mahal.

The beauty of the Taj Mahal and the efforts taken by the Emperor Shah Jahan to create this one of a kind monument shows the depth of his love for his deceased wife, Mumtaz Mahal. For this reason, the Taj Mahal has always been associated with love and is a favorite scene for film shoots as well as love birds and honey mooning couples.

Let's get to the jigsaw on the lovely Taj Mahal now. Here’s the link to make your own Taj Mahal.
