Fireworks, BBQ’s and fun are represent the 4th of July for Americans. The question is, is your smartphone ready for the 4th of July? So I thought now would be a good time to get everyone out there ready both in the kitchen and on the social network highway.

First, smartphones need fireworks. Smartphones need a waving flag. Smartphones need music that inspires patriotism. They are easy to find and many are FREE of charge. So go ahead, open your smartphone and go to the market or iTunes and search for ‘Live Wallpapers 4th of July’ and choose one right for you. iPhone and Android users can fly the flag while fireworks sparkle and music is played.

Second, smartphones need information to share. For some, the Fourth of July is a time to celebrate our country’s independence with fireworks, barbeques and fun. So why not let your smartphone teach you some important things about your country? For the iPhone user there is an APP titled ‘America Deluxe’ which sells for $1.99. With this APP you can take a virtual tour of the country with photos and information. There is even a biography of each US President.

Third, smartphones would not be smart if they did not have patriotic music. Download and sing along with some classic American anthems like ‘Hail to the Chief,’ ‘American the Beautiful,’ and ‘Yankee Doodle Dandy.’

Fourth, smartphones need to help out in the kitchen with recipes. Both iPhone and Android users can enjoy many different types of cookbooks with the latest recipes. Turn your family gathering into a feast few will forget. Then, by the way, be sure to name your dishes with a patriotic theme. Instead of Apple Pie it has now become ‘For the Glory Pie.’

Fifth, smartphones need to have a patriotic eBook to read while laying around relaxing. Pick up a biography on one of our nations forefathers or a story about the American Revolution. Did you know that England just skips over the American Revolution in schools. It is like it did not happen!

Sixth, smartphones need to communicate personally and socially. Be sure to post your event on the social networking sites but better yet, use an Android APP called ‘Photoshower’ to take images and share instantly with family and friends. With ‘Photoshower’ there is no remembering to share photos because ‘Photoshower’ syncs every phone with all pictures taken! It is a great little APP that you do not want to be without this 4th of July.
