What is a Quillow?
When ever I think of a Quillow, I think of a Grandmother. I have a number of friends who are Grandmothers and they each have either one or a few quillows that they keep in their vehicles, ready for use by their grandchildren.
What is a quillow you might ask? The name Quillow is made from combining the two words – Quilt and Pillow. A Quillow is a quilt that has a pouch sewn onto the backing fabric. This quilt can be folded and turned into its pouch. When folded into the pouch, the Quilt becomes a pillow. These Quillows are very popular for children’s sleepovers, or for when Grandma is minding the grandies. A quilt is comforting, a pillow is also comforting.
I have sourced a number of instructions for making Quillows and offer them here. Some instructions are basic, some instructions come with diagrams and photographs.
