Easter Eggs and Bunnies Pattern
Easter is coming up soon, and part of Easter are the baskets with chocolate bunnies and egg hunts.
These small patterns will work with small pins sewn to the back as scatter pins, or with earring wires attached for seasonal earrings.
They are limited palettes, so I recommend picking your own Delica colors, if you prefer purple to green, by all means use purple. If you'd rather make chocolate bunnies in mixed brown shades, that will look fantastic. Small patterns make a wonderful playground for colors because they don't take long to stitch up.
A suggested palette based off the colors I used in the graphs would be:
- DB 201-White Pearl
- DB 174-Trans Light Neon Green AB
- DB 55-Lined Pale Pink AB
- DB 53-Lined Pale Yellow AB
- DB 10-Opaque Black
- DB 240- Periwinkle Blue
The patterns have a foundation row of 2 or 3 beads depending on which pattern you're using. For more information about brick stitch beading, check out my tutorial, Basic Beading- Brick Stitch Earrings. The patterns are 3 to an image file, right click and save then print.
Here are the blanks for the eggs.
Here are the bunny patterns, the ears are shaped which makes them a little more difficult, but still fairly easy.
