Listen to Me Girls, I'm Your Father! is an anime series based on a light novel series written by Tomohiro Matsu and illustrated by Yuka Nakajima.

The main character of the series is Yuta Segawa, a university freshman. Before heading off to college, he had been cared for by his older sister, Yuri. He decided to move out on his own after Yuri got married when he was in junior high. Her husband had two daughters from previous marriages, and the two of them also had a daughter together.

One day, Yuta is asked to come over and watch the girls while Yuri and her husband go on a trip. His charges are Sora Takanashi, Miu Takanashi, and Hina Takanashi. Sora is the oldest at 14, and she has a crush on Yuta; stylistically, Sora looks a bit like Haruhi Suzumiya. Miu is 10 years old, and she appears to potentially have a crush on Yuta as well. Hina Takanashi is three years old, and is very friendly and unafraid of strangers.

The plane that Yuri and her husband on crashes, and they are both reported as missing. In order to keep the girls from being separated, Yuta takes on the responsibility of looking after the girls in his small dormitory apartment. Not only does Yuta have the girls to take care of, but he also has to deal with his feelings for Raika Oda, a second year student at the school Yuta attends.

There is a very interesting premise presented in Listen to Me Girls, I'm Your Father!, and there is definite potential for the story as it continues. However, it should be noted that there are some scenes that could potentially be seen as "sexualization" of young girls. In the first episode, there is a brief panty shot of 10-year-old Miu, as well as a shot of 14-year-old Sora in her bra and underwear.

When it comes to the animation, I've heard criticism that the three girls seem to "sparkle." They definitely have a different look when compared to the other characters, but I think I would use the word "bright" to describe their design. The other characters and the backgrounds, meanwhile, rely on what I would call a "typical" animation style.

Even though the three girls look really cute, this series isn't being aimed at a younger audience. Personally, I would recommend Listen to Me Girls, I'm Your Father! to anime viewers who are 14 or 15 years of age and older.
