Golfsmith a golf and tennis retailer out of Austin, Texas which was founded by Carl and Barbara Paul in 1967 and began as a custom golf club components supplier and their aim was to inspire golfers to play better and love the game. As of August 2012 the company has grown to over 81 retail stores. They are located in most every state in the United States and are still growing. They started with golf components but expanded into every form of golfing equipment plus adding tennis racquets and balls. One will also find apparel both for men and women plus accessories that any player would need.

The original Golfsmith store in Austin has expanded and grown and is located on the northern edge of Austin, Texas. This is about an hour’s drive from where I live right on Interstate #35. I have visited this store from time to time but now I find it so easy to check on their web site and order whatever I am looking for. For what the postage charged is much less than the hassle of driving that far to purchase an item. After searching their used club selections this week I found something I was looking for a Big Bertha Hybrid #6. I have the Big Bertha #7 and love that club and am having it re-gripped for the third time. I know I will love that #6 to fill in with my other three Callaway Diablo Edge hybrids #3 and #5. I would have ordered more but Diablo did not make the #7 so picked up this used Big Bertha #6 to fill in my hybrids.

Ordering on Golfsmith is very easy and they keep your information so when you order again your check out is very simple. Since I live so close I usually get my item the next day, I ordered my new Diablo golf clubs last year, in the past golf bags, balls, and this week one grip that I need for that #7 hybrid. They even had the Callaway grips and happy to find a site to get just one grip.

This week in my golf web email I found a note about Golfsmith stating that they would be having a nationwide Women’s Night on April 26. They stated that they would send me more specifics later so will write more about that when they send me this information. Golfsmith has many clinics and giveaways so this one on Women’s golf should be of interest to most women golfers.
