Bobbie Kristina to Talk to Oprah
Ok everyone set the DVR because Oprah Winfrey will be interviewing Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter and only child of Whitney Houston, and Patricia and Gary Houston the brother and sister-in-law of Houston on OWN. Patricia was not only Houston’s sister-in-law but her manager too. The interviews are scheduled for March 11 and will appear on Oprah's Next Chapter on her OWN network.
According to media reports, from USA Today, Bobbi shares memories of her mother and how she would like for her to be remembered. The family also addresses the rumors and speculation surrounding Houston's death.
In a recent press release from OWN the network states-“Prior to the interview, OWN will re-air a 2009 interview Oprah Winfrey did with Whitney Houston via a special the network ran just days after Houston's death. Called Remembering Whitney: The Oprah Interview, it also features Oprah's own thoughts and memories about the iconic singer and actress.”
In that famous 2009 interview Houston spoke candidly about her battles with drugs and her troubled marriage to Bobby Brown. She also provided inspiration as she talked about how her mother’s love helped her to get sober and back on track once again. She looked wonderful and Winfrey dubbed her “The Voice” in that interview and it was well received by millions around the world.
Houston went on later that year to release her first album in over a decade the top selling “I Look To You” which went gold. The single “I Look to You” along with the track “Million Dollar Bill” entered the Billboard charts at number one off the project. It would prove to be her final album as Houston passed away sadly on February 11, 2012.
Winfrey I’m sure will handle this interview in much the same manner as the 2009 interview which was one of the most anticipated and informative interviews of the year. She is known for securing the top artists for one on one interviews and is adept at allowing them to be comfortable and speak their minds. She always asks the questions that her viewers want and I’m sure that this interview will be one that you don’t want to miss. Tune in to OWN on March 11, 2012 and let me know what you think.
