Jammin Jay Lamont Makes Donation
Impressionist, Comedian and Entertainer Jammin Jay Lamont recently performed several shows in the Atlanta area and donated part of the proceeds to The Clinton Ron Walker Foundation. He presented a check to Candace Walker, CEO of the organization.
"I just want to support the foundation because this work is so needed for our youth so anyway I can help I want to do that," said Lamont.
“We are so appreciative of the support that Jay has shown our organization and we thank him so much for his kindness. We are so grateful to all of our supporters as we continue to provide, scholarships, AED and heart screenings to youth,” added Walker.
The Clinton Ron Walker Foundation was established in 2008 after the death of Clinton from a heart defect. The Clinton Ron Walker Foundation is a nonprofit organization set up to provide education and free heart screenings for children in the Georgia area through their Youth 4 Healthy Hearts initiative. Their goal is to educate youth on how to keep their hearts healthy and provide scholarships to deserving students in Georgia.
You may have seen Lamont on several television shows including; BET's Comic View, Comedy Central, Showtime at the Apollo, Russell Simmon's Def Comedy Jam, Byron Allen’s "Comic Unleashed", and Jamie Foxx presents "Laffapalooza".
He has performed with many great artists including the legendary Luther Vandross and Roger Troutman. As a staple opening performer for several acts including; The Gap Band, The O'Jays, Anita Baker, Ledisi, MAZE featuring Frankie Beverly, D.L. Hughley, Tommy Davidson, Cedric the Entertainer, Mike Epps, Jamie Foxx, Charlie Wilson, and many more, Lamont’s clean comedy style and spot on impersonations is always a crowd favorite.
