Applique a Garden Book Review
Everybody knows Pat Sloan. Well just about everybody, certainly in the quilting world. Pat has been around for donkey’s years and has a very solid faithful following amongst the quilters I know. Pat has a radio show, a fabric collection and a great website full of yummy stuff. I can spend a fair amount of time visiting Pat's website.

I recently received a complimentary copy of Appliqué a Garden – 7 Quilts by Pat Sloan. This publication is chock full of appliqué designs for the beginner and more seasoned quilter alike. Pat’s pattern genre is border line primitive/traditional/boldish and modern. In other words, she is a chameleon when it comes to design; she has a coat of many colors. The patterns in this book are very well written with lots of photographs and diagrams.
The patterns in particular are full size, and this quilter is grateful that the scanner doesn’t get a workout before I can start.
I really like the selection of patterns that Pat has provided. Patterns like the Crossed Branches Quilt and the Autumn Splendor Table Runner. Just gorgeous patterns to make for your home.
Pat Sloan ticks lots of boxes for quilters. She is very savvy when it comes to what quilters like and I can thoroughly recommend you get yourself a copy of this fabulous appliqué book. I’m guessing you’ll have trouble deciding what to make first.
