Time for All Weather Gear

Time for All Weather Gear
I have been checking out many web sites and magazines and most of them show all weather clothing to get ready for cold and wet weather this winter. In my Golf Digest there was a full two page spread on clothing that deals with nasty weather and you still want to play golf. These rain gears were all pictured from five different companies who showed pictures and of course prices and they claim to be non-restrictive to your golf swing. Well if you are a gun-ho golfer in all kinds of weather one of these suits will be just the thing for the coming winter weather.

The companies displayed here are from the lowest priced of Greg Norman Epic Ultra Light at $170 for the jacket and $145 for the pants. It looks like FootJoy Tour priced at $250.00 for the jacket and $180 for the pants is in the middle. The most expensive was Galvin Green Astor at $550 for the jacket to $400 for the pants. That is quite a spread but when you talk about Gore-Tex shell and stretch fabric on the back and arms makes it a hot buy if you can find it in the United States. The Greg Norman model is so light weight that you will forget you have it on but the down side says it was slightly baggy under the arms. These five were listed in the golf section so that meant top recommendation.

This article listed ten other companies but gave them a silver rating listed in a wide range of prices. They also showed gloves to wear in the rain and are designed to keep your hands dry while playing in the rain. It also states that the palms are synthetic yarn will create friction while gripping the clubs cost $26.00. It also recommended FootJoy with suede microfiber palm and to dry quickly at $22.00.

It would not be complete without a head cover as it says a rain suit is pointless if you don’t invest in the right head gear. They show two favorites of FootJoy Bucket Hat ensures your neck to stay dry at $28.00 to the Sun Mountain Waterproof Ball Cap at $24.00. If you have moved south to get away from the snow country you may want to invest in these stay dry golfing gear. I live in central Texas and we can have some cool wet days but you can still play golf if you are so inclined and are dressed for the weather. If you are thinking of rain gear checkout the rain gear at your Pro Shop or on line and get ready for the cool wet weather this winter. I did purchase a wind pullover from our Pro Shop and just the thing to have in my golf bag when a cool front passes through. I think I am smart enough to stay off the golf course when it rains but these outfits look pretty cool.
