Fall Makeup Colors - Get The Look
It won’t be long before the shorts and tank tops are packed away and snow boots and leather jackets are pulled from the closet. Summer is over and now is the time to think about switching from golden hues to more vibrant makeup colors.
The fall season will be a contradiction in terms. One side of the coin is trending toward a natural or nude look. This is one look that is always in style and continues to hold its spot this fall. But, on the other side of the coin are the new vibrant colors that range anywhere from stark red to burgundy to a darkish purple.
Going nude never goes out of style, it’s easy, natural and quick to accomplish. But, it’s still important to remember it is makeup; applying to much will distract from your overall look. The secret to a natural looking appearance is finding the right tone of foundation that will suit and compliment your own complexion. Adding a little gloss, neutral shades for your eyes and mascara will give you a wholesome look and make your eyes stand out.
Falls colors will be vibrant and eye catching. This year’s number one trend will be shades of orange. Warm orange shades and an acid orange coupled with a slight touch of pink will take control. Smoky colored eye shadows will be close to the top the list once again this year. But, there will be a variety of new shades to choose from. Highlighting the smoky colors will a metallic green touched with a little black.
Following close behind will be deep colors in navy and gold. These colors will give your eyes a vampy look for evening wear while colors of the 1980's are seeing a comeback for day wear. Pastels in blue-green, shades of purple and dark green will be hit the height of popularity this season.
Eyeliners in shades of violet will explode on the scene. Brown eyes look richer, green eyes look greener and blue eyes take on a new intensity with a touch of violet liner. Smudging the liner just slightly will create a smoky look that will fit in with falls attitude. More than just a liner, eyeliner will be used in place of shadow to create wide and thick lines in a multitude of colors.
The pout has returned with lipsticks in vivacious and bright colors. Magenta, red, orange, burgundy and colors in dark purple will complete the vampy look and give your face an appropriate pout. For something a little more a-la-feminine, baby pink is the selection of choice. To make this color work, rather than applying color to your entire lip apply two or three dots and then rub your lips together. Baby pink lips and darker, vampy looking eyes will keep everyone wondering what’s on your mind.
