Indian Smoothie Recipes
Healthy, delicious & super simple to make! My yummy Indian Smoothies will help cool you down – they are light, refreshing & always a nice way to beat the heat. Best of all, you can drink these tasty treats anytime of the day ☺.
Now I recommend using Greek Style yogurt or even vanilla yogurt since these varieties work really well with other flavors. The low fat and low sugar versions are fine to use. Also, I highly recommend using fresh fruit but if it’s unavailable - frozen fruit or fruit juice concentrates will work in a pinch. Feel free to add honey (or any variety of flavored honey) in place of sugar if needed. Please adjust the recipe as needed to suit your own personal taste. You can also pour the smoothies into popsicle or kulfi molds for a delicious frozen treat.
Needless to say – but I don’t need to remind you to wash, trim, de-seed & peel your fruit as needed.
RASPBERRY CANTALOUPE SMOOTHIE
Ingredients:
3 cups of raspberries
2 cups of diced cantaloupe
1 cup yogurt
2 tbsp honey, to taste
2-3 basil leaves
pinch of fennel seed powder, optional
METHOD:
Combine all ingredients in blender, process until smooth & serve chilled.

FIG BANANA SMOOTHIE
Ingredients:
4 fresh figs, quartered
1 large banana, sliced
1½ cups plain yogurt
2 tbsp honey, to taste
pinch of ground cinnamon powder
METHOD:
Combine all ingredients in blender, process until smooth & serve chilled.

VANILLA DATE ALMOND SMOOTHIE
Ingredients:
1½ pitted dates, chopped
2 cups vanilla yogurt
2 tbsp ground almonds
2-3 tbsp honey, to taste
pinch of freshly grated nutmeg
METHOD:
Combine all ingredients in blender, process until smooth & serve chilled.

HONEYDEW KIWI GRAPE SMOOTHIE
Ingredients:
1½ cup diced honeydew melon
1 large kiwi, chopped
½ cup green seedless grapes
½ cup yogurt
2 tbsp honey, to taste
juice of ½ lime
2-3 fresh mint leaves
METHOD:
Combine all ingredients in blender, process until smooth & serve chilled.

APPLE PISTACHIO SMOOTHIE
Ingredients:
3 cups of diced apple, any variety works (my favs are Granny Smith & Honeycrisp)
1 cup yogurt
2 tbsp ground pistachios
2-3 tbsp honey, to taste
2-3 basil leaves
pinch of ground cardamom powder
METHOD:
Combine all ingredients in blender, process until smooth & serve chilled.

PEACH STRAWBERRY SMOOTHIE
Ingredients:
1½ cup of sliced peaches
1 cup sliced strawberries
1 cup vanilla yogurt
2 tbsp honey, to taste
pinch of freshly grated nutmeg
METHOD:
Combine all ingredients in blender, process until smooth & serve chilled.

AVOCADO COCONUT SMOOTHIE
Ingredients:
1 large ripe avocado, diced
1½ cup yogurt
1 cup coconut milk
2 tbsp honey, to taste
3-4 fresh mint leaves
METHOD:
Combine all ingredients in blender, process until smooth & serve chilled.
