Your bathroom is probably the one room with the most negative energy in your entire house. This is due to the nature of the room and the fact that it is subject to all sorts of bacteria. This room is where we bathe, brush our teeth, use the toilet, leave our dirty clothes, and generally leave a mess. Each day the fixtures and floor is covered with stains and germs even if we can’t see them. This is also the room that we can’t rearrange for a better energy flow. So, what can we do for positive energy?

Clean, clean, clean. Keep the room as clean and shiny as possible. Use air fresheners to control odors and wipe up mold and mildew as soon as you see it.

Keep dirty clothes in a well-ventilated, covered hamper. If the hamper is overflowing before wash day, consider adding a second hamper to keep clothes off the floor and the lid tightly closed.

Mirrors are wonderful additions in the bathroom for positive energy as long as they don’t reflect the toilet. Some recommend a mirror on the outside of the bathroom door unless the door opens into the bedroom. Well placed mirrors can reflect the beauty of the room and enhance the flow of positive chi.

The bathroom has a strong water element which is excellent for the flow of wealth or money. The only problem, the water in the bathroom is constantly going down the drain or sewer so one must use cures or remedies to control this negative flow of water/wealth. This might sound like a huge task but the cures are relatively simple. If you have a leaky faucet, toilet, or drain, repair it as soon as possible to minimize the symbolic loss of wealth energy. Keep the toilet lid closed except when using or cleaning the toilet to minimize the symbolic loss of wealth energy. I really like this cure because, in my house, it solves the age old argument of whether the toilet seat should be left up or down.

Ideally, the floor should be linoleum, wood or tile instead of carpeting. If you want the warmth of carpeting, use a few throw rugs that can be washed. Its best if the room has natural light but quite a few bathrooms don’t have windows so you might need to use a lot of artificial lighting so the room is always bright. If you do have windows, use light window coverings so the light can shine in or if privacy isn’t an issue, leave the curtains open. Red, gold or green towels and accessories are good for positive energy and attracting wealth.

Most bathrooms have medicine cabinets but medicine should be kept in a different location for positive energy. A good place to keep medicines is in either a high cupboard in the kitchen or a high drawer in the bedroom well out of the reach of children. Keeping medicines out of the bathroom is also a good idea because of the moisture in that room.

The bathroom can be a room with positive energy if you pay particular attention to keeping it as clean and bright as possible, keep the plumbing and fixtures in excellent repair and apply a few favorable cures.
