TwinTrexx Twin Baby Carrier Worth the Money?
I recently had the opportunity of test driving a TwinTrexx twin baby carrier. Although I was a little skeptical at first, I must admit that the new “rave” was hitting a soft spot. If nothing else, it is stylish and interest-piquing. From the moment I discovered I was having twins, I have been trying to deal with the fact that they would need to accept taking turns being held. I mean, come on, it's hard enough picking up one child, but two can be a little overwhelming. Boy was I wrong!
Cue the new TwinTrexx twin baby carrier. After reading the instruction manual once, I was ready to join others on this twin wearing trend. Not only did my twins enjoy being held at the same time, but (surprisingly) I didn’t feel their weight on my back like I thought I would. It certainly didn’t feel like I was carrying around 30 pounds. My next venture would be to the supermarket. I would show the world what twin moms are made of!
As I stepped out, I couldn’t help but smile as I saw people stop in their tracks to see what I had around my body. It even has little pockets in the front which were very convenient for my keys and cards-accessible in an instant without diving through the pocketbook. Yes, I was thrilled about that feature. I could finally have both my babies in a carrier just like any singleton mom. What happens if you're tired? The carrier detaches into two singles so your spouse, partner, or anyone else can help out. This carrier was definitely made for me. When we were done with the expedition, we had a cute, handy little backpack that the carrier comes in. Perfect for times when you’re not sure if you'll need it or not.
One flaw this carrier has? If your twins are used to fighting or grabbing at each other the carrier can become a little too close for comfort. They are at arms reach of each other which means that you'll have to keep your eyes open. You'll also want to look out for the “grabber.” Yes, we all know who that twin is-the one that seems to grab everything from the shelves.
All in all, this is one carrier that was meant to be owned by every parent of twins. Now, if only I would have had one during my pregnancy! Boy would I have paid to have something help me carry my fabulous duo!
The TwinTrexx Twin baby carrier was purchased by me (cost $129.00) and was not a gift of any kind.
