Olivier Soaps All Natural Skin Care
What we put on our bodies is so important. Many commercial skin care products are proven to contribute to cancer as well as Alzheimer's. There are days I feel like a lost cause, but I do not feel that way with my children. I have been searching for something that is free of harsh chemicals to use on my babies but also something that WORKS. Something that isn't just thrown together, isn't too oily, and works for sensitive skin. It has been a long process and to be honest, I thought it was time to give up.
Then I watched a Dragon's Den episode and heard about Olivier Soaps. In his demonstration, Pierre actually eats the product, telling his audience that at Olivier they believe that if it isn't good enough for you to eat, it isn't good enough for your skin. Olivier (meaning olive tree) is based on Olive Oil. Every skin care product you use, whether it be eye shadow or face wash, contains 95 % fat. It is important to know where that fat comes from. Once upon a time it came from animals, whale blubber, etc. However the animal rights movement has pretty much put a stop to that. Now, it is most commonly found in recycled fast food oil. So what you fry your chicken in is the primary component of your skin care... sounds yummy doesn't it? Olivier Soaps uses olive oil. And not just any olive oil. The kind that they have they import directly from Greece and it is cold pressed from black olives. This means that it contains the highest natural amount of vitamin E.
Olive Oil in itself is good for a number of things. Such as moisturizer, hair loss (who knew hey?), and for health. Did you know that 8/10 men in the US have severe problems in their 40s-60s with prostrate cancer, intestinal problems, etc.? In Europe that number is reduced to 2/10. Why? They use cold pressed olive oil. In North America we use lots of oil, but we most often use it in our cooking, and as soon as oil is heated up, its properties change. Olive oil loses most of its benefits when it gets hot and it's fats change as well. Drizzling a couple Tbsp.'s of cold olive oil on your salad or spreading it on your toast can help change that number in men and decrease the chance of them getting these diseases later on.
So, now we know why they use olive oil in their products. It is full of antioxidants, vitamin E, and one of the best things for you both inside and out. They also don't just use any oil, it is the best of the best imported directly from Greece. So what are the other components of Olivier's products? Cocoa butter and beeswax are the other two primary ingredients. Cocoa butter is a neutral moisturizer, and incredibly good for repairing skin elasticity (such as on stretch marks or scars) without being oily. Because of this, cocoa butter can be used in both dry skin products as well as oily skin. Beeswax is used to harden their soaps. Olivier soaps are 4-5 times harder than any other soap on the market. They retail for around $7/bar, however they last 4-5 times longer than any other bar you would buy.
One of the most important things for me is to make sure that I am putting the best quality products on my children. Olivier has a dry skin line (formulated for dry skin), they have a problem therapy line for skin problems like eczema and psoriasis, a baby line, a femme line (anti-aging amazing products), a hair line (shampoos and conditioners), as well as a men's line. Each of their soaps smell amazing and a lot of their lotions/shampoos/hand soaps are customizable, meaning that you get to choose the scent.
I have been testing their products out for some time now (see the blog link below for detailed reviews) and am so impressed. This stuff is amazing. It is a bit more expensive, but it makes up for that in the fact that it goes farther and lasts longer. It works! Dry skin patches on my son, eczema patches on my daughter, diaper rashes on my baby.... whatever the problem, I have not found anything as effective as Olivier Soaps. I strongly urge you to check out their website for more information. They ship anywhere and you will not be disappointed. Olivier has 110% guarantee, meaning that if you are not completely satisfied, you can return the product for a full refund. There is nothing to lose and a lot to gain.
