Tarter Sauce Recipe
Having fish for dinner but no tarter sauce in the fridge? Don't fret, you can make your own in a few minutes.
INGREDIENTS
1 cup mayonnaise
2 1/2 tblspn sweet pickle relish
1 tbspn onion, very finely chopped
1 tspn mustard
1 tspn apple cider vinegar
Salt to taste (optional)
DIRECTIONS
Mix in bowl until well blended. Chill about 15 mins. Make about 1-1/2 cups.
Serve with fried fish, shrimp, crab or salmon cakes. Makes 1 cup of tarter sauce.
If you like a spicier tarter sauce try this recipe hot peppered tarter sauce:
INGREDIENTS
1 cup mayonnaise
2 1/2 tblspn sweet pickle relish

1/4 tspn hot pepper sauce
parsely (optional)
Mix all ingredients together, pour into a serving bowl and sprinkle with chopped parsley. The result is a spicey-hot blend that also makes a great spread for fish sandwiches or hamburgers.
