Canine Courage Book Review
My review of Canine Courage....

Canine Courage by Tiffin Shewmake is more than an incredible collection of stories about heroic dogs. It also examines why the brave and faithful dogs reacted as they did and what motivates canine heroism.

It features accounts of the many ways dogs behave heroically, from warning their owners of impending danger, to dogs who risked their own lives to defend owners who were being attacked. There's stories about dogs getting help for people who were sick or injured by convincing someone to follow them, stories about dogs rescuing people who were drowning and saving people trapped in a fire.

One chapter explains how the history and personality traits of a breed play a part in the kind heroic acts typically associated with various breeds. Another explores the mystery of how an untrained dog instinctively knows how to respond in dangerous circumstances or even recognizes that a problem exists.

I was especially moved by chapters about the devotion of dogs, the special bond between dogs and their owners and canine ESP.

I highly recommend Canine Courage to all dog lovers!
