Anderson Cooper 360º on CNN
You may have your favorite reporter or your favorite show, but I have a new one and he’s Anderson Cooper. He is the host of his own show Anderson Cooper 360º on CNN, airing Monday through Friday nights.
I had seen news coverage done by Anderson Cooper in the past such as the Tsunami, Bagdad Elections and the funeral of Pope Paul II.
Anderson Cooper has worked with ABC New prior to coming to CNN with shows such as World News Now, World News Tonight, 20/20 and 20/20 Downtown. He also has hosted, the ABC’s reality program The Mole.
Anderson Cooper has won awards such as National Hardliners Award, an Emmy, Chicago’s International Film Festival’s Silver Plaque, National Educational Film and Video Festival’s Bronze Award and an Outstanding TV Journalism’s GLAAD Media Award.
The main reason I like Anderson Cooper is humanistic approach to stories he’s covering. Lately, I have been watching a lot of news due to Hurricane Katrina. I will admit, I have been watching a lot of news, about 4:00 I turn to CNN and catch about three hours of news while I work at my computer. I really am to the point I want to see what’s being done to help people of Hurricane Katrina and want to make sure all parties involved that are doing what they should, not just what they can. There are so many good agencies and people out there helping and I will admit it’s a relief to hear some good stories coming out of the region.
I am sure that if you catch Anderson Cooper 360º you will also be impressed on what you see in his news style and coverage and might even be inspired to do something if you already haven’t.
Tune into Anderson Cooper 360º weeknights on CNN.
