Learn From An eBay Powerseller

Guest Author - Maria Thompson

A couple of weeks ago, I asked a few eBay PowerSellers on a ListServe that I belong to if they could share some of their knowledge with Bella's Readers.  I will be profiling their responses here on the Online Auctions site.

Our first PowerSeller is Kris Partello.

Your Name: Kris Partello
Your eBay ID: Karadina

Feedback #: 1051

What type of items do you primarily sell? Assorted.... Plus Size Clothes.... Books.... Vintage Games.... New Toys.... right now some First Day Covers.... Anything else I find that looks unique.

What is the best time of the year to list your items? It depends on the items.  Anything New is great in October/November/December... or Vintage that would make a good gift, Holiday Clothes are also great during those months.  Summer Clothes are good in the Spring and Fall.  Clothes that are good in July and August are Back to School.  Books can do well anytime.  Same with other collectibles.

How many hours a week do you spend on your eBay business? Usually 40 to 60... sometimes more.  Basically, the more you work the more you'll earn. ;-)

About how many auctions do you run a week? I usually have about 100 listed all the time.

What is your #1 tip for new sellers at eBay? Research Research Research.  Do searches for what sells and what doesn't. Research anything you want to list both on and off eBay. Find a mentor or pattern yourself after successful sellers. Oh... and remember... it takes a lot of TIME... so don't get discouraged and keep at it and success will come.

Special thanks to Kris Partello for taking the time to answer a few questions for this article. You can learn more about Kris and/or see her auctions here.
