TNT has a six-week television event, with Steven Spielberg as Executive Producer and Dream Works Television. It looks like a captivating look at a period of our history that in the past has been very one sided. Into the West looks at both sides of the struggles we in America went through during the growth of the west.

It is six episodes with several chances to watch. It’s a chance to see how two families are effected by the changes in the west as the white settlers move further west. One family led by a young Lakota and the second led by a young white man wanting to explore the west. Join them and take a look at both sides with their struggles and joys.

Episode 1: Wheel to the Stars
Is the first look at the two main families. Brothers Jacob and Nathan Wheeler have dreams of joining Jedediah Smith on a expedition to California. Loved by the Buffalo, a young Lakota boy destined to be a holy man receives visions that will bring the two families together forever.

Episode 2: Manifest Destiny
As traders introduce guns and other things to the native people, it takes a toll on the tribes. Jacob and his wife travel home but he wants to return to California.

Episode 3: Dreams & Schemes
Gold fever leads to destruction to Lakota sacred land during the gold rush.

Episode 4: Hell on Wheels
Wheller’s children witness history as east meets west with the joining of the railroads. Jacob’s daughter is captured by Cheyenne.

Episode 5: Casualties of War
Crazy Horse and Custer and the Little Big horn. Life on the reservation for Margaret Light shines.

Episode 6: Ghost Dance
Wounded Knee and the U.S. Calvary's treatment of Native Americans.
