Darielle Low Carb Pasta & Ziti

Darielle Low Carb Pasta & Ziti
Darielle is the low carb pasta brand promoted by Atkins and other low carb diets. Their TV dinners are plain to start with but with a bit of jazzing, they're pretty good!

This is the Baked Ziti in red sauce. The basic instructions are nuke 2.5 minutes, stir, nuke 2.5 minutes. So I nuked it for 2.5 minutes, then added in 2 sticks of mozarella cheese (chopped up), stirred it then nuked the remaining 2.5 minutes. I added on some oregano and chopped red pepper. Then I poured myself a glass of chianti and sat down to enjoy. It was pretty tasty!

The package says 2 servings but anyone who eats TV dinners knows that you're not doing this to "make a side dish" for your main meal. You're just nuking something to eat it. So the total effective carbs for the package plus spicing up is 12g carbs. Not bad for a way-of-life low carber filling and decently tasty dinner!

Note that in the past I'd tried the Meatballs with Penne and not enjoyed the penne at all. I'll have to try cheeseifying it and spicifying it sometime in the future to see if it gets any better.
