Daughter of EveDaughter of Eve is Aslan’s title for a female of the human race. Susan and Lucy Pevensie are addressed as such during their time in Narnia. They with their brothers, Peter and Edmund, travel to Narnia via a time portal, the wardrobe. They discover the wardrobe while residing in Professor Digory Kirke's country estate. The four Pevensie children come to live with him to escape war-torn London, England. War World II is raging and the German Air Force constantly bombs the city of London. Eve is the first human female on Earth. Susan and Lucy descend from Eve, therefore the title. Lucy first hears the term when she meets the Faun, Mr. Tumnus. Again, Susan hears the term from Mrs. Beaver. Everyone in Narnia is looking forward to Lucy and Susan's arrival. Their arrival signals the end of Queen Jadis, the White Witch’s reign over Narnia. Winter is the only season the people and creatures of Narnia have endured for the past one hundred years. Although, it is winter, Father Christmas no longer visits Narnia.
