Favorite Places To Eat In New England
Lindsey's Family Restaurant in Wareham Massachusetts --- Well rounded menu and great service
3138 Cranberry Highway, East Wareham, MA 02538
(508) 759-5544
Lindsey’s is a favorite local restaurant located on the Upper Cape. It is spacious inside which makes it great for the kids. The food is very good and inexpensively priced. I’ve had many different dishes here and they were all great. I haven’t had them yet, but I hear that their steak tips are to die for. The service is always exceptional here and parking is plentiful.
The Courtyard in Cataumet Massachusetts --- Colossal prime rib
1337 County Road Cataumet, MA
(508) 563-1818
The Courtyard is a local pub located in a section of Bourne on the Upper Cape. It is a small place but the dining room is rustic with its wide planked walls and blazing fireplace in winter. In the summer you can eat at the outside patio. There is a fountain outside and a brick oven where they make great pizza.
I mention the Courtyard specifically because it has the best prime rib I’ve ever had. It’s about a foot long, 4 inches thick and melts in your mouth like butter. I generally have 3 full meals from this one dinner. If you like prime rib then this is the place to go. It is available Thursday through Sunday.
The dining room is spacious enough for the kids but you have to walk through the bar to get to it.
The Lobster pound at Lincolnville Beach in Maine ---- Reasonably priced fresh seafood with a view
U.S. Route 1, Lincolnville Beach, ME 04849
207-789-5550
Open May to late October 11:30-8:00
This place has a large dining area, great for bringing the whole family, and fresh seafood at a reasonable price.
Your dining experience here also comes with a breathtaking view of Penobscot Bay. They cram a lot of tables into their dining area and I felt crowded while seated but it’s worth putting up with for some of the best seafood that New England has to offer.
Villa Banca in Nashua New Hampshire ---- Great Italian food
194 Main St, Nashua, NH 03060 (603)-598-0500
This restaurant is named for the fact that it was once a bank. It even has a big vault in one of the walls, but the real story here is about the great food and amazing service.
I eat here every chance I get. If you like Italian food, then this is the place to go in Nashua.
